Star Aniseed

Star Aniseed, commonly known as Star Anise, is a star-shaped spice obtained from the fruit of the Illicium verum tree, native to China and Vietnam. With a bold, sweet, and licorice-like flavor, it is a key ingredient in many Asian cuisines and traditional medicinal systems.

Its eight-pointed star appearance and strong aroma make it both visually appealing and intensely flavorful. Star Anise is one of the major components of the Chinese five-spice powder and is frequently used in masala chai, biryani, soups, and herbal decoctions in Indian kitchens.
